The Legend Airlines flight was en route from the United Arab Emirates to Nicaragua when it was held at a small airport on Thursday after a tip that its passengers might be victims of human trafficking.
Passengers on the flight were held at Vatry airport, approximately 150 kilometers east of Paris, while authorities converted the terminal into a makeshift courtroom to hold emergency proceedings.
Among the 303 original passengers who remained in France, 25, including five youngsters, sought refuge, while two others were initially imprisoned as part of the trafficking investigation before being freed, according to local authorities.
The jet took off on Monday after a French judge declared that police lacked the jurisdiction to detain several of the passengers any longer.
Authorities in France have stated that they have found no proof of human trafficking but are continuing to examine potential violations of immigration laws.
