Will we see another Schumacher on the starting grid? This is at least what the latest rumors suggest. Dismissed from Haas at the end of 2022, the German has always expressed his desire to return to the pinnacle category to seek revenge and show that he still belongs on the grid. According to the latest information, his popularity has not really decreased as no less than two teams are interested in him.
Helmut Marko suggested that Alpine and Audi F1 are seriously considering signing Mick Schumacher, with both teams looking for a second young and fast driver to support a more experienced driver, which the former Formula 2 champion can offer. The head of the young driver program also took the opportunity to praise Mick Schumacher’s qualities, explaining however that he has no intention of placing him in the Racing Bulls as he would overshadow the young drivers in the program.
« Mick is one of the most polite and pleasant people in the entire paddock, which is rather a disadvantage for him. He also has the handicap of a big name. He has already proved himself in terms of sports. He won the Formula 3 championship, he won the Formula 2 championship, and that alone made him interesting for Formula 1 teams. »
« As far as we are concerned, there was no sporting reason for us to meet. He was a junior at Ferrari at the time, then he joined Mercedes. So he wasn’t even on the market.

Despite his departure, he remained close to the paddocks with a role as a reserve driver for the Mercedes team before being recruited by Alpine in the Endurance championship and having him test old Formula 1 cars from the brand. A driving pace that is still present, attracting the attention of Formula 1 teams.
« At Haas, he was not treated fairly by Netflix superstar, Günther Steiner. It’s a fact. Once you’re out, it’s tough. But behind the scenes, you only hear good things about him. Toto Wolff praises him left and right. I think Alpine and Audi are seriously considering him. I would be happy for him, because he deserves it », also added Helmut Marko, adding an additional touch to Schumacher’s arrival in Formula 1.
The German recently indicated that he was ready to wait for Formula 1 as long as necessary, evidence that he has not yet given up on his dream. He sees this opportunity as a chance to redeem himself, after a difficult time with the American team. Schumacher’s arrival could once again disrupt the 2025 grid, already in the midst of multiple upheavals that are far from over.
