Andy Murray cheekily breaks his wife’s Xmas rule as family settle down for…

Andy Murray broke his wife Kim’s sacred Christmas rule while filming the ‘Mary Berry Christmas Special’ with the queen of baking at his Cromlix estate in Scotland.

The couple opened the doors of their luxury five-star hotel to BBC cameras as they filmed with Dame Mary for the popular festive programme. During the episode, set to air at 9pm on BBC One, Berry taught the tennis star some local recipes while Murray’s granny, Shirley, showcased her famous homemade shortcake.

Murray was up to all kinds of mischief on the set as he tried to sneak a tennis ball onto the top of the Christmas tree despite his wife forbidding him from touching any of the decorations. “I was up at Cromlix at the end of November filming the Mary Berry Christmas special, just as the Christmas decorations had started to go up at the hotel,” Andy told HELLO! Magazine.

“I’m not normally allowed to touch the decorations but I did try to sneak a tennis ball onto the tree to see if anyone noticed.”
