The battle for the MotoGP title this year has been marked by several mistakes and incidents involving the leading riders, particularly Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) and Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati).
Today, it was the Spaniard’s turn to crash in the Sprint race of the Indonesian GP, while last Sunday, the same happened to the Italian in the main race of the Emilia Romagna GP.
As a result, the gap between them fluctuates constantly, also allowing other riders to close in. For Bagnaia, this season has become the championship of mistakes. Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati), who is currently fourth in the championship, commented on the frequent incidents:

The mistakes happen because they are super fast, and then everybody is riding on the limit. I feel fast, but even so they are faster. So when you are riding on the limit, every lap, from the first to the last… I remember that five years ago the races were quite different; you were pushing some laps, now you are pushing all the laps. Everybody can be super fast, but it’s easier to do a mistake.
