Chase Elliott picks his ‘best’ NASCAR race track ahead of

Chase Elliott is coming off a bounce-back season that featured a near entry into the Championship 4. Unfortunately for Elliott, Ryan Blaney passed him for the lead in the closing laps of the Round of 8 finale at Martinsville Speedway. Now, going into 2025, the Hendrick Motorsports driver is looking for more success as some of his best tracks.

However, what is Elliott’s “best” NASCAR race track on the 36-race schedule? In a recent interview with HendrickMotorsports.com Elliott was asked to reveal his best track in the Cup Series, and the answer might be a little surprising.

“I don’t really know why [Dover Motor Speedway] has been good for me, but it has for sure, and I’m thankful for it,” Elliott said. “I’ve enjoyed going up there. It’s a challenging track. I think it just kind of suits some of the things that I want behind the wheel. You see that with guys across the board. You just go to certain tracks, and for whatever reason, that place just suits how somebody wants to drive. I think it really suited the old car and how I wanted to drive it there, not quite as much in the new one, but certainly more than other tracks do.

Elliott believes Dover is his best race track, and the statistics actually back that up to a degree. The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion has two wins and 10 top-5 finishes at Dover in his Cup Series career. It is tied for the most wins and sits solely on the top for the most top-5 finishes in his career. Elliott has led more laps at Martinsville Speedway and has a better average finish at the Charlotte ROVAL, but Dover is definitely up there as one of his best race tracks.
