NASCAR star Chase Elliott has aimed a sarcastic jibe at the sport on social media.
While the beginning of the 2025 NASCAR season is just around the corner, teams are currently at the end of their preparations, which involve plenty of media work and promotional shoots.
Naturally, this means drivers are put in a position where they have to help build hype for their team ahead of the upcoming season; with Elliott, the 2020 Cup Series champion, no stranger to this.
And it seems the 29-year-old is fed up with his pre-season media responsibilities, with Elliott taking to social media to reveal he just wants to be racing on the track.
He captioned the post: “Can we go racing now?” And while Elliott is eager to get back behind the wheel, there were plenty of his fans in the comments section who enjoyed his recent sarcastic social media post.
“Nice photo shoot! Let’s go Chase!! Can’t wait to see that 9 car on the track!” wrote one fan. A second added: “Perfect caption for these pics, @chaseelliott9 . Like, I’m done with these pics and media, ready to go race….”
