Emma Raducanu can make more money at Australian Open than she did in whole of 2023:REASONS..

mma Raducanu has a chance to engulf her 2023 prize money on her return from injury at the Australian Open.

The 21-year-old has not yet been awarded a wildcard that would see her bypass the qualifying stage and it is unclear whether she will have to qualify in Melbourne. However, after rarely featuring in 2023 and suffering disappointing results in the early stages of the year, Raducanu earned just $237,627 (£186,520) in 2023.

She reached the second round of the Australian Open, repeating her efforts from the previous season, to claim 158,850 Australian dollars (£89,867). However, injury problems continued to persist and Raducanu made the decision to skip the remainder of the season to undergo surgeries on her wrists.

But now Raducanu is preparing to make a comeback and a big splash in 2024. She will take on Elena-Gabriela Ruse on New Year’s Day at the Auckland Classic, before jetting over to Australia regardless of whether she has a wildcard for the Grand Slam or needs to qualify for the tournament

ust by reaching the first round, Raducanu would scoop $120,000 (£64,000) which comes in at just under half of her 2023 earnings. A second-round visit for the third year in a row fetches $180,000 (£96,000) and would mean that Raducanu comes close to matching her injury-plagued season.
