EMMA RADUCANU NAMED IN 'FULL-STRENGTH' GREAT BRITAIN SQUAD FOR

The Great Britain squad for the Billie Jean King Cup qualifier against France in April has been named and Emma Raducanu is set to compete alongside Katie Boulter, Harriet Dart, and Heather Watson. Captain Anne Keothavong described her squad as being at “full-strength” and was feeling confident ahead of the meeting in Le Portel that will be very important for the team.

Emma Raducanu has been named in the Great Britain squad for the Billie Jean King Cup qualifier against France in April.
The 2021 US Open winner, who is continuing her comeback after almost a year out following surgery on her wrists, will join Katie Boulter, Harriet Dart, and Heather Watson in the team.
Great Britian will take on France on April 12-13 with the winning team advancing to the finals in Sevilla, Spain in November.

The losing team will then compete in playoff ties.
The best-of-five tie is set to be staged at Le Chaudron in Le Portel on an indoor clay court.
Captain Anne Keothavong expressed her happiness at being able to name a strong squad for the tie and was optimistic about their chances going forwards.

“I’m delighted to be travelling with a full-strength team off the back of some terrific results recently,” she told the LTA website.
“The French side will present a significant challenge as always, but we all know how representing GB inspires us and each year we are getting stronger and better as a team.”
Having missed most of 2023, Raducanu returned to action this season and reached the second round of the Australian Open.
Recently, she was beaten in the third round at Indian Wells by Aryna Sabalenka.
British No. 1 Boulter recently won her first WTA 500 title, beating Marta Kostyuk in the final of the San Diego Open.
