The British tennis player has withdrawn from the tournament in Macau, which
was due to start on 2 December, The Guardian reports.
Emma Raducanu’s return to professional tennis has been postponed until the new
year after she withdrew from an exhibition tournament. According to a member of
the tennis player’s team, the organisers asked her team to take part in the
event so that they would have enough time to find a replacement if she was
unable to play. Although Raducanu had hoped to participate, the fact that she
was still recovering from her injury and could not guarantee her appearance
meant that she decided not to participate.
Since returning to training, Raducanu has made significant progress with her
rehabilitation at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton. Having decided to
part ways with her coach Sebastian Sachs, she has not yet formed a team of
physiology, fitness and technical skills coaches around her.

The athlete has not played since April. In May, Raducanu underwent surgery on
both wrists and her right ankle. We would like to add that the tennis player
has one victory at Grand Slam tournaments. In 2021, Raducanu won the US Open.
On the courts of Australia and France, the best result is the 2nd round, and
at home Wimbledon – the 4th round. The highest position in the WTA rankings is
10th place in July 2022.
