Fans Outrage Over Spire Motor Sport Action Post Kyle Busch….

Kyle Busch’s championship-winning Craftsman Truck Series operation will have an
ownership change starting in 2024. Busch announced on Wednesday that Kyle Busch
Motorsports sold for an undisclosed amount to Spire Motorsports, a multi-car
Nascar Cup Series operation that also has a part-time Truck Series team.

Recently, Spire Motorsports announced it is acquiring a charter from Live Fast
Motorsports to field a third car in 2024 for Zane Smith as part of a deal with
Trackhouse Racing. Now, the expanding team will move into the
77,000-square-foot shop Busch’s team has called home.

It will be hard to walk away from the amazing facility we built,” Busch said
in a statement. “I’ll miss walking the shop floor talking with the everyone,
hosting our fan days in the lobby, and spending countless hours there ensuring
its success. However, I know at this point in my life and in my career that
this is the correct decision.”

Busch started his Truck Series operation in 2010 when he was 25 years old. The
team has won 100 races — the winningest team in Truck Series history — with
Busch winning 48 races with his own team. Among the team’s highlights are
championships with Erik Jones in 2015 and Christopher Bell in 2017, two drivers
who eventually competed alongside Busch with Joe Gibbs Racing at the Cup level.

Kyle Busch Motorsports competed under the Toyota banner until last year, and
they had a strong relationship with Toyota Racing Development for Busch to
mentor the manufacturer’s drivers. However, in 2023, with Busch switching Cup
teams to Richard Childress Racing, part of his deal was to swap Truck Series
manufacturers to Chevrolet
