Life has been breathed back into the F1 paddock after Lando Norris’ maiden Grand Prix victory in Miami on Sunday. The pace demonstrated by McLaren, combined with a huge upgrade package schedule for Ferrari next weekend in Imola, has revitalised hope of a World Championship fight at the top.
Until that point, the 2024 World Championship had been the Max Verstappen story. The Dutchman has a 100 per cent record of pole positions in qualifying and won four of the opening five Grands Prix with the only hiccup coming with a mechanical DNF in Australia.

With the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix coming up next weekend, Norris will be targeting consecutive victories, while Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will also hope to bring the fight to Verstappen.
However, on-track drama isn’t all that is on offer. With Adrian Newey’s future still up in the air, multiple teams are vying for his signature, while Zak Brown and Toto Wolff have predicted a mass exodus from the reigning champions in the wake of his departure.
