Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has reportedly agreed to a three-year, $186 million contract extension with the franchise, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The deal includes a player option for the 2027-28 NBA season.
Antetokounmpo, 28, made waves in the offseason when he said the Bucks had to make significant roster moves to convince him to sign a contract extension.
Bucks general manager Jon Horst did just that by trading for Portland Trail Blazers legend Damian Lillard.

Antetokounmpo reportedly has a chance to earn extra money throughout the course of his career, according to Wojnarowski.
The player option in the 2027-28 season and the Over-38 rule in the CBA allows Antetokounmpo to sign another short-term deal with Milwaukee in 2026.
He can then sign another four-year extension with the Bucks in 2028. Antetokounmpo is preparing to start the upcoming NBA season on Thursday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
