Cristiano Ronaldo enjoys a life of luxury on air, land and sea after purchasing his own private jet worth £61million last year. But even the Portuguese icon can’t escape the inconvenience of engineering repairs
The former Manchester United, Juventus and Real Madrid star added the ultra-luxury Bombardier Global Express 6500 to his transport fleet in 2024.
Ronaldo, 40, usually travels along with his long-time partner Georgina Rodriguez and their young family around the world using his state-of-the-art personal aircraft.
It recently touched down at Manchester Airport, which was revealed in a post from the airport’s social media account on X (formerly Twitter).
It is not immediately clear whether Ronaldo was present on board the plane when his jet arrived in the city where his football career took off.
However, he started Al-Nassr’s last game – a 3-2 win over Al-Ahli last Thursday in Saudi Arabia – and the plane arrived in Manchester in Friday.
And Ronaldo will have to make do without his preferred method of transport after engineers in Manchester reportedly noticed a cracked window panel, which must be fixed in order for the plane to take off.
It has stayed there for several days, meaning Ronaldo would have to find another way back to the Middle East if he had flown in on his jet.
