A shoe salesman recently revealed how Grizzlies star Ja Morant showed up at a sneaker store asking for him after a mere misunderstanding with his mother Jamie Morant.

Ja Morant might be handed the green light to lead his Memphis Grizzlies into the playoffs this season, yet the 23-year-old guard isn’t able to keep himself away from controversies and troubles. The latest revelation by a shoe salesman Givon Busby, indicates how Morant crept up to a sneaker store to threaten him after the latter had a small misunderstanding with Jamie Morant.

Where’s the short guy with the dreads?’ Morant kept shouting. Morant went into a part of the store where customers weren’t allowed, he (Busby) said and looked through the window of the stock room. He said Morant then shouted, ‘I’m gonna wait until you get off work.’ I thought, ‘Oh, he’s really trying to get me,’ Like, he’s trying to hurt me.”

Busby mentioned how Jamie Morant got furious when he attended to two white women before her. This led to the manager sending him to the back of the sneaker store. This is perhaps just why Ja Morant showed up, searching for him.

Shoe Salesman alleges police not leniently leaving Ja Morant
Busby even accused the Memphis Police Department of dealing with the issue leniently as he never heard back from them. Moreover, his report was not even disclosed, as per what he told the Post:

“When a shoe salesman went to police to describe how he had cowered for nearly an hour in the back of a sneaker store as Morant threatened him, Memphis police did not list Morant as a suspect and recorded the name of his mother, Jamie Morant, as “Unknown” — shielding both from public scrutiny.”

Given the list of incidents Ja Morant has been involved in, there is no surprise that Ja was involved in harassing a shoe salesman. Moreover, with the 2-time All-Star making his way onto the NBA hardwood after an 8-game suspension, it is surely about time that Ja Morant changes his behavior and leads with a good example.

Ja has been involved in 3 separate gun incidents
Over the course of time, Ja has been accused of threatening a teenager with a gun during a pick-up game at his house previously. That wasn’t the only violent act the Grizzlies stud was involved in – in a separate incident, Ja was reported to threaten the head of security at the Memphis mall.

To add misery to his name Ja was involved in another scandal involving an altercation between Morant’s entourage and the Indiana Pacers staffers. The Pacers crew claimed that someone in Morant’s SUV had aimed a red laser, believed by a security guard to be a gun. The final act of foolishness was when Morant decided to wave a gun during his IG Live session.

It remains to be seen will there be a change for good in Ja, or is his misery set to go from bad to worse
