Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has one of the most successful Nike shoes out right now. Morant’s “Ja 1” signature sneaker has taken the basketball world by storm, as the star point guard continues to release new editions that keep fans of the shoe excited for what could be next.
In a recent post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Morant seemingly confirmed a new edition of his signature sneakers, the Ja 1 “Murray State” edition:
The sneakers feature the Murray State colors, which is of course where Morant played his college basketball. Morant spent two seasons at Murray State, averaging 18.7 PPG, 8.2 APG, and 6.1 RPG. Selected second overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2019, Morant has emerged as one of the NBA’s biggest stars on and off the court.

On the court, Morant is a two-time All-Star and one-time All-NBA team member. Off the court, Morant is one of Nike’s biggest athletes. His Ja 1 sneakers are of course among the most popular in the game right now, but that is not the only off the court move Morant has made with Nike.
Recently announcing the launch of his “Twelve Time” AAU program, Morant is developing a youth basketball team that will help expand his impact off the court. Making moves despite being out for the season, Morant is still very involved in the game.
