Two-time NASCAR Cup champion Kyle Busch had a wild end to his heat race at the Tulsa Shootout. He entered the event with his son Brexton Busch and was set to run in winged and non-winged races. But his h
With just four laps left in the heat race, Busch was in the fight for a P6 finish. Unfortunately, his 51X Lucas Oil car made contact with the No: 49A car of Ace Moore. Busch was sent into the air, and his race car landed upside down. The safety team quickly rushed to the scene and attended Busch inside the car.
Luckily, he was able to exit the car with zero injuries. But his hopes of winning a second heat race in the shootout might have ended. He still has a chance, though, as he is also set to race in the winged car race at the event as well. Busch was lucky he was able to walk out of the wreck unharmed, as sprint car wrecks can often lead to severe injuries.
Brexton Busch might use his father’s crash at the event to learn more about racing, as in Motorsports, even the champions aren’t immune to mistakes and crashes. He is set to drive in two events as his father, the Restricted A-Class and Junior Sprint car racing event.
The 2023 season was a disaster for Hendrick Motorsports’ Alex Bowman , and it has to do a lot with an accident he had, similar to the one of Kyle Busch. Unlike Busch’s, his incident came towards the end of the first half of 2023.
Bowman’s car flipped and landed upside down after an accident in a High Limit Racing event. This is a series that is co-owned by his teammate Kyle Larson. Bowman broke his vertebra and was sidelined for four Cup races and the All-Star race.
