Kyle Busch Rubs Salt on Christopher Bell’s Unhealed Wounds as He Tries to

2024 hasn’t been the best of years for Rowdy. While he found success on the track with his son Brexton’s racing career, his time in the Cup Series hasn’t exactly been very positive. Sitting out of the playoffs was one blow, but not having won a single race this year this adds to Kyle Busch’s misery

the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series moves towards its climax, fans can expect that there is going to be some drama on the track. While Busch takes a dig at Bell remembering his past move at Martinsville, one can expect some really strategic moves from him.

Why can’t drivers have some fun? Well, this is exactly the mood that Kyle Busch exhibited just before the Phoenix Finals on Sunday. Busch has a legacy that is hard to replace and driving for Richard Childress Racing, he is one of the most profound drivers that you can ever expect. Driving the 3 CHI Chevrolet, Busch will be starting from the 25th position, which is not quite the ideal spot to start. However, given the ruckus that is often created on the tracks, one never knows who might get into the front and make it to the victory line.

Speaking of ruckus on the field, Christopher Bell has been able to hold quite some attention on tracks after he attempted the wall ride. This move also known as the “Hail Melon” move was first exhibited by Ross Chastain, two years back. It now stands under the safety violation norms, as it could be a potentially life-threatening risk for both the driver and the audience. Bell had mounted the high wall in an attempt to surpass Bubba Wallace and make his way to the victory line. However, the subsequent penalty put him out of the Top 4. Busch faces a similar situation, not when it comes to qualifying for the playoffs. If he doesn’t win, he risks his record where he has won at least one race in every season for 19 years.

The 2024 season has proven to be extremely unlucky for him till now. He can salvage his reputation and cross the checkered line in Phoenix just to keep up with his reputation. His last win was more than a year ago at the World Wide Technology Raceway in June 2023. When asked about the strategy Busch revealed he would adopt Bell’s hail melon. He remarked, “How many laps is the race? 312? I’m gonna wall ride for 312 and that will save it and I will win (smirk). But realistically, no. It’s all about how good are you. Can you keep yourself close enough to the front and have a shot”.
