Last night, NASCAR fans were not alone in their boredom during the Bristol Night Race. Kyle Busch’s wife Samantha agreed. Samantha is not known to hold back her feelings, so it isn’t a surprise that she shared her thoughts on last night.
After a night to sleep on things, Samantha Busch aired it out on the race last night. And the Next Gen car. We know that Kyle Busch has his own issues with the Next Gen but it’s apparently a family affair.
Here is what Samantha had to say about the Bristol race:
“Not just saying this [because] we didn’t run well but can we all agree the only exciting part of the race was watching Owen celebrate [with] Kyle[?]” Busch posted on X/Twitter. “Can’t remember a Bristol race being that blah in a long time. Time to cancel this race car
Everyone like to see Owen riding along with his dad Kyle Larson after a dominating 462 laps led. But it wasn’t the best race. There were cars racing top, middle, and bottom but there weren’t a lot of passing opportunities.

The cars are too similar and too easy to drive for these drivers. Without clear advantages that drivers can create and take advantage of, everyone ends up running the same times. That has created frustration as the short track product has suffered in the Next Gen era.
Kyle Busch did not have his best race ever. Especially for Bristol. Good news, no pressure for the No. 8 team. They are not in the playoffs and have everything to gain and not much left to lose, truth be told.
On to Kansas.
Kyle Busch searching for a win in 2024
Every year that Kyle Busch has raced in the Cup Series, he has won at least one race. He has the record for most consecutive seasons with a win at 19. It might not get to 20 if Busch doesn’t do something different and soon.
