In the Indy 500, Larson will start in fifth position, which will be his first IndyCar Series start. For the Coca-Cola 600, he qualified 10th, marking his 345th career Cup Series start.
Larson impressed during the rookie test in October and has been fast throughout May. His car features an orange and blue McLaren livery with the HendrickCars.com logo.
Brian Campe, technical director at Hendrick Motorsports, serves as his race strategist. Larson’s usual spotter, Tyler Monn, will be in his ear during the race.

The Indy 500 was scheduled for an estimated 11:45 a.m. CT green flag. But do to rain delay, Larson’s chances of doing the double will be at risk.
