Max Verstappen retires from Australian GP after four laps

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen retired from the Australian Formula One Grand Prix on Sunday after his vehicle caught fire during the fourth lap if the race. This is the first time since 2022 that he doesn’t finish a race and it also happened in Melbourne.

Verstappen, 26, walked out of his car safe and sound as mechanics put out the small fire. He was in second place behind Carlos Sainz Jr. of Ferrari when the incident occurred.
