Red Bull lay down law with Max Verstappen as Dutchman tries to get out of

Max Verstappen has admitted that he ‘couldn’t get out’ of participating in the Goodwood Festival of Speed for the first time this weekend, with the Red Bull star one of many team members taking part in the on-track.

Celebrating Red Bull’s impressive milestones will be their current driver pairing of Sergio Perez and Verstappen, while David Coulthard, Mark Webber and Daniel Ricciardo will be among the raft of former drivers also in action on the Goodwood tarmac.

Red Bull aren’t the only F1 team with a presence at the 2024 festival. The W12 – the final Mercedes challenger of the turbo-hybrid era – will be in action on the Hill, while Ferrari’s 1961 and 2001 cars will also be on the track. Williams will be present with their FW26 machine, while the legendary McLaren MP4/4 is also in line for a run-out.

Accompanying these machines will be an array of F1 drivers and stars from the F1 feeder series ladder. Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will both be behind the wheel at Goodwood, while Mercedes’ test and reserve driver Frederik Vesti is also making his first appearance at the event.

Jack Doohan, who has been heavily linked with the second Alpine seat for 2025, will be present alongside fellow juniors Kush Maini and Sophia Floersch, while Fernando Alonso will be in the cockpit as Aston Martin debuts the Valiant on Friday
