Ross Chastain Somehow Drove Through A Tire Barrier & Didn’t Lose A

There’s simply no obstacle that Ross Chastain won’t drive through.

The driver of the #1 car for Trackhouse Racing has proven time and time again that he has no problem driving through his competitors on the track if they’re holding him up. In fact, his fellow drivers even call it “getting Chastain’d” when he gets a little too aggressive and drives through them.

Well at the end of the NASCAR Cup Series race yesterday on the Chicago street course, the Chastain vs. barrier battle was raging once again. And once again, the barrier was no match for the driver of the #1 car.

While running in 22nd place due to a penalty during the last pit cycle, Chastain somehow found himself in the tire barrier on the street course during the final lap of the rain-and-darkness shortened race.

But unlike other drivers who found themselves stuck in the tires throughout the day, Chastain somehow managed to drive THROUGH the barrier. Well, UNDER might be a better word – but either way, he kept his foot on the gas and somehow came out in the exact same position he was in when he hit, and just kept rolling.
