Serena Williams’ Ex-Coach Defends Emma Raducanu’s Fashion Stint With a Hard-Hitting….

The world’s former number one tennis star Serena Williams‘s ex-coach made a surprising revelation about the public treatment of ATP stars compared to WTA players. Williams’s famous coach has always been vocal about the differences between ATP and WTA players face in terms of fan criticism. This time Stubbs brought the reference to Italy’s tennis star Matteo Berrettini and Britain’s Emma Raducanu. Do you wish to know what Rennae Stubbs said about the matter?

Previously, Stubbs pointed out the double standards of the Tennis Channel to cover ATP and WTA matches in 2023. Stubbs was mad seeing the WTA Doha finals having just one commentator whereas the Men’s Rotterdam semifinals had two commentators. Now once again Stubbs brought Raducanu and Berrettini’s topic to delve deeper into the matter.

In her recent podcast, Rennae Stubbs said- “I mean that’s the one thing I would have to say against Matteo Berrettini for example. You know look and listen we call spades spades in this podcast, okay? And I love Matteo, he is a great guy, he is very good looking, all the stuff we all love about him. He is an amazing tennis player and yes he has had terrible injuries in the last couple of years. But when he was at his peak, when he was doing really well he was going to the Met Gala, he was going to this, he was doing photoshoots.

She further added: “You know its like I am fine with that coz Jannik got his Gucci stuff and clearly Matteo has the boss stuff. But that’s where you have to, could maybe fault him a little bit. Now a lot of people have given Emma Raducanu a shit of that. You know that’s why it is important to have people around you. They are advising you to say what is your priority.

Stubbs addressed the Tennis Channel’s double standards for ATP and WTA tournaments last year

Not about fans’ criticisms, Stubbs also pointed out the double standards of the tennis broadcasting channels. She mentioned how the WTA Doha Finals last year had only one commentator. However, she raised how the ATP semifinals in Rotterdam at the same time had two commentators.

Stubbs said- “Women’s final from Doha, 1 announcer. Men’s semi final from Rotterdam,2 announcers.what’s up with that TC!??? And also for the men’s match in Buenos Aires there were two commentators. Women’s final just one!?? I’m so confused.”
