Frank Warren has mapped out Anthony Joshua’s potential next fight – and an all-British bout against Daniel Dubois is in the mind of the promoter.
The Queensberry founder – who promotes Tyson Fury – went on the Seconds Out YouTube channel on Sunday (May 26) to discuss the state of the heavyweight division. That appearance comes ahead of an expected rematch between undisputed king Oleksandr Usyk and Fury this autumn.
The Ukrainian has fought hard to keep the undisputed status for the blockbuster rematch after requesting an exception to the IBF. He’s set to be stripped of that belt this weekend so the world title can be up for grabs in Filip Hrgovic and Daniel Dubois’ fight.

Warren, 72, has now threatened to anger the camps of both Hrgovic and Dubois with his take on their fight. The Islington native said: “A lot of people will be p***ed off at me saying this, especially Hrgovic’s camp and maybe with Daniel but I feel like it should be for the interim because I think the rematch should be for the four belts.”
The promoter was complimentary of Anthony Joshua who’s riding a three-fight winning streak and suggested his next foray in the ring should come against Dubois. “That’s what everybody wants to see, that’s what I’d love to see, AJ is coming off a really good line of form at the moment, he’s looked very good in his last two fights and him and Ben Davison is obviously a partnership that’s really working well.
